As in the tradition of historical sound designers, sound is not imitated but constructed. In this case, the chosen material is exclusively paper, explored as a sound-producing medium.

Children are invited to become sound effects artists, experimenting with how paper—when folded, torn, rubbed, crumpled, or moved by the air—can generate rustles, crackles, and vibrations that evoke the wind without ever matching its actual sound. The workshop is not musical in the traditional sense, but falls within the realm of sound art and active listening.

The workshop is led by Oliviero Fiorenzi with the assistance of Andrea La Pietra, a composer and musician trained at the Claudio Abbado Civic School of Music in Milan.
