In Un Palazzo in Esilio, Theodoulos Polyviou extends the concept of “oikonomia”—household management—to encompass the influence of the Cypriot Church on both spiritual guidance and the management and administration of worldly and material interests.
Theodoulos Polyviou in conversation with Andrea Franchetto, Ph.D. in the History of Religions from Stockholm University.
Together with scholar and researcher Andrea Franchetto, we will discuss the relationship between spirituality and institutions and explore the importance of architecture’s role in fostering the spirituality associated with it, offering a new perspective that invites reflection on the concepts of place, history, and cultural or collective identity.
