Phantom Armour

Phantom Armour brings together existing works, new productions, and site-specific interventions within the spaces of Lavanderia, constructing an environment in which installations, painterly interventions, sound, and light progressively transform the experience of the visit.

The project does not unfold as a succession of autonomous works, but as an exhibition organism made of correspondences, presences, and echoes. Obvious and more elusive elements coexist along the path, amid thresholds, shadows, reflections, and apparitions that emerge and vanish within the space.

The artists' research converges along a path in which matter is subjected to processes of transformation, forms take on hybrid configurations, and the relationship between natural and artificial, real and imaginary, visible and invisible becomes central. From the sculpture of Maria Positano, oriented toward the alteration and dissolution of matter, to the organic and visionary imaginaries of Luca Petti; from the interventions of Giammarco Cugusi, which interweave technology, perception, and ritual, to the traces and apparitions of Lorenzo Zerbini, in dialogue with natural elements and latent memories; up to the painterly interventions of Sarah Margnetti, which extend directly onto the architecture as a subtle surface capable of altering light and the visual connections between the works.
