The book recounts the history and past of the ancient Sicilian city of Centuripe and serves as an evolution of the “EROS AND PSYCHE” project created by Renato Leotta in the village of Centuripe for Una Boccata d’Arte 2021. At that time, the artist had created an open-air exhibition that, through a series of posters, drew attention to the archaeological finds from Centuripe that are part of the British Museum’s collection, reflecting on how archaeology and cultural heritage become part of identity-forming mechanisms.
